While heavily showing and campaigning my cats around the Southeast Region, I made some amazing friends along the way. One particular group of friends (the Stacholy’s from RubyClaw Bengals and the Coffey’s of Belrouge Bengals) asked me to join their cat club as we all had young children around the same ages and they all were involved heavily in the TICA Jr. Exhibitors program. So we created the first JE focused club in all of TICA, we hosted shows, HCM clinics and we would fundraise to cover some of the costs of the kids to be involved or to cover their end of the years awards. During one such fundraiser I decided to make a couple dozen cat toys as the toys we would purchase from the local pet stores would typically be destroyed within seconds and some of the more expensive toys from the vendors at the shows would be as well. The toys were a huge success for the fundraiser, I also had the pleasure of meeting Jen Hardin of BlueRiver Abyssinians, whom had ALSO created some cat toys of her own for the same fundraiser.
Jen and I quickly became FAST friends, and our families grew very close. Jen also had children close in age to my own so we started showing and attending shows together! On one of our trips we decided we would try our hand at making cats toys, just to see how things would go. We took 100 toys to the Largo show and sold out within 20 mins…..on the way home we were brainstorming names, hence the birth of Wicked Tease Toys! The adventures we had driving and flying around the country, the friends we have made along the way can not be replaced. Our little circle of AMAZING friends whom have supported me from my first show as a novice (Howard and Judy Farrow of Katzmeow Bengals) to my most recent show filled with laughs and love with (Amy G. – Katie and Hugo BOSS’s human servant), thank you for all the amazing memories!
With all that said, every Southlynn Kitten will leave with their own personalized and custom toys in color variations to THEIR preferences!
